Could All-on-4 implants be right for you?

What are All-on-4 dental implants?

All-on-4 implants offer enhanced stability and security and can prevent the jawbone resorption associated with conventional dentures. We have the expertise and resources needed to replace an entire set of prosthetic teeth in just one appointment. This treatment involves four implants, which are normally strong enough to anchor the new teeth immediately.

What are the benefits of All-on-4 dental implants?

There are many good reasons for opting for all-on-4 dental implants. Conventional dentures are not supported by root-like structures, whereas the bone is fully anchored with this treatment. Once the structure is in place, you will be able to enjoy a varied diet without having to worry about your dentures sliding out of place. You can get in touch with us today if you do have any queries about our all-on-4 treatments, so why not do so today?

Who should consider All-on-4 dental implants?

The treatment is ideal for those experiencing problems with existing conventional dentures, particularly those with low bone density. Even if you have experienced significant bone loss as a long-term denture wearer, you may still be able to benefit from this treatment due to the way the implants are placed near the front of the jaw. Believe it or not, four implants can replace all of the teeth on the top or the bottom of your mouth. The front implants are installed at 90 degree angles, whilst the back ones are placed in at 45 degrees. This means you should be able to bite and chew normally without the implants becoming loose.

How does the All-on-4 implant procedure work?

We will be able to proceed once we have conducted a consultation to see if the treatment is right for you. During the process, you will normally be given a local anaesthetic alongside extra sedation. You will be fitted with a prosthetic arch and can receive a new, more robust denture after the implants have had enough time to fully integrate with the bone. Patients are advised to enjoy a soft diet whilst this process is occurring.

Our CT scan technology allows us to safely integrate implants in the bone, with tilted implants enabling us to avoid nerves and sinuses. This treatment can help you avoid having to pay out for costly bone grafting and sinus lifting procedures. All-on-4 dental implants were designed with low bone density patients in mind. This innovative treatment has been available for more than a decade and has an incredible success rote. The treatment allows surgeons make use of available bone even in cases of low bone density.

After the scan has taken place, we can identify the spots with the most density and place four implants appropriately, with two in the front and two in the back of the mouth. The front implants are installed at 90 degree angles, whilst the back ones are placed in at 45 degrees. This means you should be able to bite and chew normally without the implants becoming loose. You will be given temporary dentures for between 3-6 months before permanent dentures are provided. The final prosthesis will normally be made from titanium or zirconium.
